This past week I signed up for Pinterest with the promise that it would be addicting. It’s a touch addicting, but for me it’s also a great way to push out links to all of the random stuff I enjoy online. And trust me, there is a lot of stuff.
Here’s some of the things I’ve been checking out this week.
- I’m a sucker for beautiful photography so this picture of a child’s shadow as he runs through the streets carrying a bunch of balloons is great. Similarly, I find this image of a sea slug to be stunning.
- I’ve been enjoying trying out new things in the kitchen so I was excited to see this cute cookie idea from Crazy Domestic for the holidays.
- Wonder Boy was once lent a VHS tape for cats that you could play during the day while you were at work so your pets were entertained. It was so goofy and lo-fi. This new commercial that appeals directly to dogs is anything but lo-fi.
- This melted crayons art project shared by Whatever… will be happening at my house.
- Sometime very soon I will be an aunt again. If the baby turns out to be a girl, I think these girl power posters from Switcheroo would look great in her room.
- With Steve Jobs passing away this past Wednesday, I feel like we’ve been bombarded with all sorts of great, touching remembrances. This computer wallpaper from Simple Desktops is one of my favorites.
Finally, I have two videos that had me in stitches. The first is about herding cats, literally, and the second features Michele Bachmann. Normally I try to remain apolitical and definitely candidate-neutral. But Michele? I love her because she provides so much fodder for comedians. So, so much.
