I went shopping last night for a wedding gown. Really, it was more of a continuation of my mission to find an acceptable dress without giving my money to some chain bridal store and without spending too many hundreds of dollars. The night was an overhaul flop. The first store I went to was closed and the second had no white dresses. So there you go.

Me being me, I cannot be in the same building as cheap clothing. So naturally I scoured all of the cheapy stores in search of things I didn’t know I needed. All sorts of fabulous-ness. You know?

So I was in one store targeted squarely at 13-year-olds finding a $1.87 short and a cute sweater when I spotted someone who looked disturbingly familiar. She was eyeing me too – not a good sign. Then it occurred to me. It was one of my former students. Seeing me shop like a young teenage. Which I am not. I hurriedly finished my shopping with my hair in my face, rang up my goods and got the heck out of dodge. Blushing the whole time.
